New Vic Manchester Resident Launch Event
A Gatsby-inspired resident launch event for one of Manchester city centre’s newest build-to-rent developments.
Riot House was appointed to create the resident launch event for New Vic, a build-to-rent development in Manchester city centre.
With interiors that bring together old and new, including subtle references to the opulence of the Gatsby era, we developed an event concept that reflected the building’s personality without becoming overly themed.
A Gatsby-Inspired Welcome
The experience began before residents even stepped inside.
A 1920s Rolls-Royce and red carpet welcomed guests at the entrance, setting the tone before they moved into New Vic’s impressive foyer for drinks.
We created a bespoke New Vic Spritz for the occasion alongside a full bar service, while a pianist performed everything from classics to contemporary pop in a vintage style, dressed for the era, naturally.
Bringing the Theme to Life
Throughout the event, we used carefully chosen details to reference the 1920s aesthetic while keeping the overall experience contemporary and relevant to New Vic’s residents.
An Art Deco-inspired photo booth featured a bespoke backdrop and props, creating a dedicated content moment for guests without overwhelming the wider interior design.
Food, Music & Resident Experience
Later in the evening, street food was served across the development’s dining spaces before a DJ took over with a mix of vintage classics and modern tracks.
By using different areas of New Vic throughout the evening, the event also gave residents an opportunity to experience the building’s shared spaces in a relaxed, social setting.
Creating Events for Build-to-Rent Communities
The launch was designed to do more than mark the opening of the development. It created an opportunity for residents to meet, socialise and experience New Vic as a community.
From creative concept and styling to entertainment, catering, bar service and event delivery, Riot House brought together every element to create a resident event that felt distinctive to the development.
