Trafford Palazzo Wellness Weekender

A weekend of wellness experiences designed to bring new audiences and activities to Trafford Palazzo.

Riot House created and delivered a two-day Wellness Weekender at Trafford Palazzo, transforming part of the shopping centre into a relaxed, immersive wellness space and inviting visitors to discover a programme of free activities.

A Weekend of Wellness

Across the weekend, visitors could take part in breathwork workshops, sound baths, ecstatic dance, massage and children’s yoga, introducing a broad audience to different forms of wellness and mindful activity.

We also created drop-in experiences including mindful colouring and an Affirmation Station, where visitors could write positive messages before adding them to our ‘Positivitree’.

Creating the Experience

To create a space that felt completely different from the surrounding retail environment, Riot House designed a bohemian-inspired event setting using soft furnishings, relaxed seating and decorative details.

The environment gave visitors somewhere to stop, spend time and take part in activities throughout the weekend — helping to increase engagement and dwell time within the centre.

Bringing Wellness Brands into the Mix

Alongside the programme of activities, we curated pop-up spaces for complementary brands including a healthy smoothie company, alternative healing store and sustainable activewear brand.

This added another layer to the experience while creating opportunities for relevant businesses to engage directly with Trafford Palazzo visitors.

The Result

The Wellness Weekender attracted new audiences and generated interest from shoppers who may not previously have tried alternative wellness activities.

By combining live experiences, workshops and brand pop-ups, the event gave visitors a new reason to engage with the destination beyond its traditional retail offer.
