Mean-Eyed Cat Liverpool First Birthday

A high-energy birthday event bringing together more than 300 guests, influencers, media and local businesses.

To celebrate the first birthday of Liverpool venues Mean-Eyed Cat and Tiki Hideaway, Riot House created a two-venue party designed to capture the personality of both bars and generate plenty of social content along the way.

More than 300 guests attended, including regional media, influencers and local businesses.

Starting the Party at Mean-Eyed Cat

Guests arrived at Mean-Eyed Cat to welcome drinks including the bar’s legendary Rum Runner, with branded drinks tokens to redeem throughout the evening.

Live music from The Rush kicked off the celebrations, while complimentary pizzas kept guests fuelled as the party got underway.

We built on Mean-Eyed Cat’s distinctive dive-bar and Johnny Cash aesthetic with carefully selected props and a playful photobooth designed to encourage guests to create and share content.

From Dive Bar to Tiki Hideaway

Later in the evening, the party moved into Tiki Hideaway, shifting the atmosphere while keeping the energy going.

Guests were welcomed with leis before heading inside for signature flaming cocktails, a DJ playing late into the night and a limbo station that quickly became part of the entertainment.

A Hospitality Event Built Around the Venues

Rather than creating a generic birthday party, every element was designed around the personality of Mean-Eyed Cat and Tiki Hideaway.

From the entertainment and cocktails to the styling, photobooth and guest journey between the two venues, the event celebrated what made each bar distinctive while giving guests plenty of reasons to stay, interact and share the experience.

The Result

The event attracted more than 300 guests and brought together media, influencers, local businesses and customers for a packed first-birthday celebration across both venues.
